BSES (BRPL & BYPL) made a transformative contribution to the University of Delhi by donating over 750 laptops and tablets through Project Sashakt Beti and e‑Drishti. Project Sashakt Beti provided laptops to orphaned and single‑parent female students from families earning less than ₹4 lakh annually. Project e‑Drishti empowered visually impaired students by offering tablets equipped with accessible features to aid their academic and research efforts. The devices were distributed during the Samarpan Samaroh held on January 4, 2025, in the presence of the Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji and University leadership. This initiative significantly enhanced digital inclusivity, enabling students to access learning resources and participate more fully in academic life.

Dr G.S. Chilana completed his BSc (Hons) and MSc in Physics from Hindu College, University of Delhi (1974 and 1976 respectively). He earned his PhD from the Deptt of Physics and Astrophysics in 1981, specialising in Electronics and Physics of Semiconductor Devices. Prof Y. P. Singh, a distinguished academician and scholar, was born in 1945 in the village Papnamau, District Lucknow (U.P.) He went on to pursue higher education at the University of Lucknow, where he earned B.Com, M.Com, and Ph.D. degrees, being awarded scholarships, a Gold Medal, and the Chancellor’s Medal for his academic excellence.

Prof Shyama Rath has been working at the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi for 12 years. She completed her master's from IIT Kanpur and her Ph.D. from IIT Delhi in 1994. Prof Rath has also worked at International Atomic Energy as a consultant (2017-18). She is the Dean, Alumni Affairs, and former Foreign Students’ Advisor (2018-20). Prof Rath has marked many achievements in her career span and has also been a Research Scientist at different international organisations, the University of Surrey, UK, and Imperial College, London, UK, etc. She was awarded the Monobusho Fellowship by Govt. of Japan, in 1996. Prof Rath is a member of the Indian Laser Association, and Materials Research Society, India. With expertise in physics and astrophysics, she has published many research papers in this field.

Prof Priti Rishi Lal is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of nutrition and education, currently serving as the Incharge of the Department of Food & Nutrition and Food Technology at Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. An alumna of DU, she completed her education from undergraduate to PhD at the institution, forming a deep connection with her alma mater.
